Return from the 1st Trip
Title:  Return from the 1st Trip
Description:  Returning to Altoona, past Alto Tower with the first trip of the day, news spread quickly that the train had been shot with paintballs, hitting the lead engine and a couple of cars, as I understand it. Forturnately the paintballs are water based and a waiting firetruck was able to wash away the "damage" and the quilty parties were caught. The biggest problem with this incident really affected the railfans as the NS police were forcing you away from the railroad in places where they would not normally bother you.
